Reading Logs
Reading daily is an integral part of comprehension and fluency. I require all students to keep track of their reading each week and have provided an attached Google Doc students can fill out with your help. If you feel more comfortable, I have paper copies I can also send home. Please let me know if you need any assistance with the reading logs! Math Games
We have begun multiplication! Students will need to know all their math facts through the 12s by Christmas. The best way to learn multiplication facts is through memorization and repetition. We will practice out facts in class daily, but they will also need to be practiced at home. We have made flashcards for all the facts and students are encouraged to practice daily. Here is a link to a fact practice site that is another way for students to practice. They can work on their facts un-timed for now, but we will start having timed multiplication tests in December.
